It's (Wedding) Show Time!
Last weekend I spent a very enjoyable couple of days exhibiting at The Scottish Wedding Show at the Glasgow SEC.
We spoke to many lovely couples and had lots of interest in our goodies, particularly the wedding games.
I love that people seem to be on the same page as I am - they want something to help guests interact and have fun at their reception, especially if their guests don't really know each other. In fact, I've actually written a couple of blog posts about it - 'What makes a good wedding ice-breaker?' and 'Keeping your wedding guests entertained (while you get your photos taken)' - they focus on a couple of different games, but you can see the whole range here.
While our gin and Prosecco Challenge hen party games are always popular, there was quite a lot of love for the Vodka Challenge, which pleased me no end as I am definitely a vodka girl!
For the first time, I decided to bring wedding invitation samples with me so that people could purchase them on the day. Lots of people decided to take either a popping invitation or fortune teller away with them to play with at home!
On a rare break during the weekend, there were a few things that caught my eye...
A wood fired oven pizza van from Pop Right Up.
Cute alpacas from Caledonia Alpacas.
Striking Scottish stationery by my friend Jennifer of Wedding Stationery by Jennifer.
And quirky colourful cakes by The Magical Cake Company.
It's always a big investment of time and funds to exhibit at a wedding show - particularly one of this size, but it really is worth it to be able speak to people face to face and let them see and play with my interactive games and stationery. Here's to the next show!
